Longji town

Longji Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Longsheng Autonomous County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Longsheng Autonomous County, bordering Jiangdi Township in the northeast, Longsheng Town in the west, Qingshitan town in Lingchuan County in the southeast, Wangtian Yao Township in Lingchuan County in the South and Sishui Township in the north, with an administrative area of 237.34 square kilometers.

Before 1641, Longji town was under the jurisdiction of SangJiang Inspection Department of Yining County. On December 26, 1952, it was renamed Heping township. On January 2, 2014, the people's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved the change of Heping Township from township system to town system, and changed its name to Longji town. By the end of 2018, there were 4182 households and 15990 people in Longji Town, and the population was mainly Yao and Zhuang. By the end of 2019, Longji town has one community and 15 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Heping Village.

In 2018, Longji town completed 13.44 million yuan in fiscal revenue and 445.27 million yuan in fixed assets investment.

Evolution of organizational system

Before 1641, Longji town was under the jurisdiction of SangJiang Inspection Department of Yining County; in 1741, Longsheng hall was under the jurisdiction of South regiment of Longsheng hall.

In 1916, it belonged to Southern District; in 1933, it belonged to Zhennan township.

In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to the Southern District.

Since May 1952, it belongs to the second district and is called Guanya township; on December 26 of the same year, it was renamed Heping township.

On August 30, 1958, the commune was established.

In August 1984, the commune was changed into a township.

On January 2, 2014, the people's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved the change of Heping Township from township system to town system, and changed its name to Longji town.
