Meiwan Street

Meiwan sub district office is located in Lengshuitan District, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province, with Fuxing Road in the East, Xiangjiang River in the west, Jiuyishan college in the South and Yucai Road in the north. It has jurisdiction over Meiwan Road, Qingqiao Road, Yiyun Road, sanduoting, cuizhuyuan, Qianjin and other six communities, with a total area of 7.5 square kilometers and a total population of 60265 (2010).

Within the jurisdiction, there are 108 central, provincial and district units, and 45 district units. It is the seat of Yongzhou Municipal Party committee and municipal government, and the political and cultural center of the city. Safe construction

In order to maintain the stability of the community and ensure the safety of residents' life and property, Meiwan street has fully implemented the public security measures, earnestly implemented the community autonomy mechanism based on "self-management", and actively established the mass prevention and control network. On the basis of the original 12 full-time public security officers in five communities, 20 public security assistants with excellent political ideology, hard work and strong body were recruited from the laid-off and unemployed persons in the communities. Strict management regulations were issued, patrol routes were formulated, flashlights and other equipment were equipped, and patrol and maintain public security in the back streets and alleys every night. At the same time, we mobilized the units and residents in the area under our jurisdiction to spontaneously set up 21 voluntary patrol teams with 96 people, and mobilized the residents to recommend 142 building leaders in each residential building, so as to build a public security prevention network with community police as the leading force, full-time public security members, public security assistants, voluntary patrol members, and building leaders to assist in prevention and management, and build a solid protective wall for community public security. In view of this group's older age, no capital, no technology, no education, and difficult employment in the society, the street community service center actively develops ideas to meet the needs of the masses and think of the masses, vigorously carries out the activities of "sending policies, funds, information and posts" to solve their problems. For those who are aware of entrepreneurship but lack of funds, we should help them apply for small capital loans, implement the preferential policies of the government, and encourage them to start their own businesses; we should set up job introduction columns, hold supply and demand fairs, actively build employment platforms, and ensure flexible employment; we should free up community public welfare jobs, such as street cleaning, and develop service outlets for community units and residents, such as Domestic services, water and electricity installation, etc., to fully resettle employment. Through a wide range of employment channels, more than 340 "4050" people in the street have found suitable jobs, which they happily call the "happy road" of reemployment. Hu Yonggang, Secretary of the street party working committee, said that "4050" people are a special group. To promote their reemployment, solve their life problems and realize the harmony of this group is the harmony of the whole community and the whole street.
