Gongnong Road Street, Baiyin District, Baiyin city is located in the northwest corner of the urban area. It extends to Gongyuan road and second lane of Baiyin company middle school in the East, Silong road and Yongxing street in the south, Xiqiang and Xitong factory of gambao cotton textile company in the west, Jianshe North Road and Baiyin Shijin Chemical Co., Ltd. in the north, with a total area of about 25 square kilometers. Gongnong Road street was established on the basis of Renmin Road Street in May 1980. There are 23 central, provincial, municipal and district enterprises and institutions, including Changtong group company, northwest copper processing plant, gambao cotton textile company and Baiyin No.2 Middle School.

The sub district office has a comprehensive office building of more than 4300 square meters, which is located at 300 Gongnong Road. It has three institutions, namely, the party and government office, the liaison work station for deputies to the National People's Congress, the reception room for letters and visits, the office for comprehensive management of social security, the office for spiritual civilization, the Ministry of armed forces and the office for civil administration and justice. There are 23 National Cadres on the staff (including 13 administrative staff and 10 institution staff). There are six community neighborhood committees (Xitong community, railway station community, panxuanlu community, Yongfeng street community, Changtong community, gongnonglu community), with 48 community workers, including 18 college and secondary school graduates who have been publicly recruited and assigned to work in the community. The office space of the community neighborhood committee has increased from the initial 7 rooms to 25 rooms, with the largest office area of more than 300 square meters and the smallest 55 square meters. One street "Xingguang elderly service center" and five community "Xingguang elderly home" will be built, with book reading room, chess room, gym, etc. Six community mass cultural activity teams with more than 300 members have been built.
