Luoge Township

Luoge township is located in the northwest border of Pengxi County, 28 kilometers away from the county. Wenjing town in the East, Xinsheng Township in the south, caobei town in Shehong County in the West and North. The township covers an area of 15.43 square kilometers, with 10 administrative villages, 1 community, 48 Village (resident) groups and 3901 people (2017).

Evolution of organizational system

During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, luoguochang was set up. It was named after the stone Gong, stone drum and stone beach on Guluo mountain. In 1937, Luoguo township was established. In 1981, it was renamed Luoge Township, belonging to Wenjing district. In September 1992, Xinsheng township was incorporated, and in 1998, the villages under the jurisdiction of Xinsheng Township were designated.
