Qiongkule Township
Qiongkule Township, belonging to Qiemo County of Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the south of Qiemo county. It is adjacent to Arele Township in the East, AQIANG Township in the south, kulamuleke Township in the West and Qiemo town in the north. It is 2km away from the people's Government of Qiemo County, with a total area of 34.81km2.
In the seventh year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1857), outsiders came to qiongkule township to reclaim land and form villages; in 1984, qiongkule commune was changed into qiongkule township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of the population was 6089. In 2019, qiongkule township has four administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's government is stationed in otulairek village.
The main food crops in qiongkule township are wheat and corn; the main economic crops are cotton; the animal husbandry is mainly raising cattle, sheep and poultry. In 2018, there were 15 industrial enterprises in qiongkule township.
