Haicheng Town

Haicheng Town, located in the south of Fujian Province, belongs to Longhai District, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, and is located on the coast of Huihai in the lower reaches of Jiulong River. Haicheng County, formerly known as "Yuegang" in history, was a famous port for China's foreign trade and a metropolis in Southern Fujian in Ming Dynasty, known as "little Suzhou and Hangzhou". It is a vivid historical portrayal that "the town is prosperous and a thousand sails of the port are competing".

In 1960, Haicheng county and Longxi County were merged into Longhai county. In 1993, Longhai county was set up as a county-level Longhai City. On February 3, 2021, Longhai county was abolished and Longhai District of Zhangzhou city was established.

Haicheng Town is located in the center of the Golden Triangle Development Zone in Southern Fujian, 10 kilometers away from the Bank of China Zhangzhou Economic Development Zone of China Merchants Group in the East, Longhai to Shima street in the West and Xiamen across the river in the north.

Climate and environment

The average altitude of the town is 10.6 meters, the annual rainfall is 1400 mm, the annual average temperature is 15 ℃ - 20 ℃, and there is no frost all the year round.
