Liugong town

Liugong Town, subordinate to Changji City, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the east of the city. It borders Anningqu town of Urumqi county and Changshanzi town of Midong District in the East, Oasis Road Street in the south, Binhu Township in the west, and Wujiaqu City of the Sixth Agricultural division of BINGTUAN in the north. The area is 108.1 square kilometers. In 2018, 13021 people registered residence.

In 1950, it belonged to four districts. In 1956, it belonged to three districts. In September 1958, Liugong commune was established. In December 1968, it was renamed Shaoshan commune. In May 1972, it was restored to Liugong commune. In October 1984, the commune was transformed into a township. In March 2000, the township was transformed into a town. In October 2019, Liugong town governs 8 administrative villages.

In 2018, Liugong town had 64 industrial enterprises and 60 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
