Puzhai Town, belonging to Fengshun County, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, is located at the southern end of Fengshun County, 13 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Longwei town and Yuhu town of Jiedong County in the southeast, Wujingfu Town, Dayang town and baxiangshan town of Fengshun County in the west, and Tangnan town and Tangxi town of Fengshun County in the north. Intangible cultural heritage

Puzhai fire dragon is a traditional activity of villagers in Puzhai Town, Fengshun County, Guangdong Province. It is a representative project of national intangible cultural heritage.

According to Fengshun County annals, as early as the sixth year of Qianlong (1741), there was the custom of fire dragon performance in Puzhai town. Every Spring Festival, the villagers of Puzhai town make fire dragons and perform in the dragon body (place name) of Puzhai on the night of the Lantern Festival to pray for good weather.

Puzhai fire dragon show is composed of three parts: "Yumen", "Yanjia" and "fire dragon". "Yumen" is 6 meters high and 10 meters wide. It contains all kinds of fireworks and is connected by fuse. The "cigarette rack" is more than ten meters high and made of wood. There are several layers up and down. Each layer has a different landscape and is also connected by fuse. "Fire dragon" was first made by binding straw with gunpowder made of sulfur, white nitrate and charcoal. Today, the production of the fire dragon in Puzhai is becoming more and more complicated. It is 35 meters long, with various kinds of fireworks and rockets inside and paper mounting outside. The "fire dragon" can open its mouth, spit out beads, bow, shake its tail and spray fire. When dancing, it can automatically ignite and fire all kinds of fireworks and gunpowder. "Fire dragon" performance, by the fire cable team, Xi artillery team, dragon lantern team and drum band a total of more than 100 people to cooperate with the performance. The performers, barebacked, hold the dragon's head high, dance the dragon's body, fiddle with the dragon's tail, and launch all kinds of fireworks and rockets while dancing.

The fire dragon in Puzhai has grown from more than Zhangyu to more than 30 meters long, and the cigarette racks have grown from 5 and 7 to 13, with a height of 15 meters. Yumen, which has been lost for more than 60 years, developed into folk art after re excavation.

The paper flower art of Puzhai town in Fengshun County is the third batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage in Guangdong Province. It is a unique traditional folk art of Puzhai town in Fengshun County.

According to Fengshun County annals, as early as the sixth year of Qianlong (1741), people in Puzhai began to make paper flowers without branches and leaves. After the ninth year of the Republic of China (1920), they developed into potted flowers with complete flowers, branches, leaves and stems. Most of the flowerpots, branches and flowers of paper flowers are made of paper. There are more than 40 kinds of flowers, such as peony, orchid, thymus, rose, Narcissus, peony, chrysanthemum, camellia, ancient banyan, etc. Puzhai paper flower has a history of more than 260 years, which is a symbol of people's yearning for a better life.
