Zhouqun Township
Zhouqun Township, belonging to Tianjun County, Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province, is located in the east of Tianjun County, by the Junqu River, bordering Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in the East, Jianghe town in the south, zhihema Township and Longmen Township in the west, and Muli town in the north. In 2018, the area of the boat village was 1406.29 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 1372.
In October 2019, zhouqun village has six animal husbandry committees.
Zhouqun township has a usable grassland area of 1.23 million mu; animal husbandry mainly focuses on raising sheep, cattle and horses; in 2018, zhouqun township has three comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, the area under its jurisdiction was the pastoral area of nagezha hundred tribes.
In the early days of the founding of new China, it belonged to xiahuancang District of Tianjun autonomous region.
Before 1958, it was a brigade in xiahuancang district.
In 1958, zhihesheng township was established.
In 1959, it was changed into zhihesheng commune.
At the end of 1962, zhouqun commune was established from zhihesheng commune.
In 1984, it was changed into zhouqun township.

Zhouqun township has hilly and swampy landforms, which flows from north to south. Rivers crisscross and swamps are densely distributed. The overall terrain is high in the East and West and low in the middle, with an average altitude of about 4000 meters.

In zhouqun Township, there is Junqu, a tributary of Buha River, which is also the birthplace of Junqu. It flows southward from the territory to Buha River. The main tributaries are zhishigong, jiawulong, tuohuozeri, Dong'e, qiareou, etc. the main water sources are snow melting and spring water.
