Longwantun Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Shunyi District, Beijing, is located between 116 ° 49'12 ″ ~ 116 ° 56'06 ″ E and 40 ° 11'12 ″ ~ 40 ° 17'30 "n. It is located in the northeast of Shunyi District, adjacent to yukou town of Pinggu District in the East, Zhang town in the south, Mulin town in the West and Dongshaoqu town of Miyun District in the north, covering an area of 57.02 square kilometers.
In the early Republic of China (1912-1949), longwantun area was divided into three counties, Sanhe, Huairou and Miyun. In 1949, it was the first district of Shunyi County. In 1958, it belonged to Mulin people's commune. In June 1961, longwantun people's commune was established. In August 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. In May 1994, the township was transformed into a town. By the end of 2018, there were 16778 registered residence in Tuen Town, Longwan. As of October 2019, longwantun town has 13 administrative villages, and the town government is located at No. 13, Fuqian street, longwantun town.
In 2011, the total revenue of longwantun town was 57.57 million yuan, including 22.58 million yuan of local revenue. From the perspective of major taxes, 15.94 million yuan of business tax, 380000 Yuan of value-added tax, 680000 yuan of enterprise income tax and 10.35 million yuan of individual income tax were completed.
On July 27, 2017, the Ministry of housing and urban rural development announced that longwantun Town, the second batch of national characteristic towns, was shortlisted.
History of construction

Jiaozhuanghu tunnel battle site
Jiaozhuanghu is located in Jiaozhuanghu village, longwantun town. The site memorial was built in the autumn of 1964 and named "Jiaozhuanghu militia struggle history exhibition room". In 1979, the Beijing municipal government decided to be a key cultural relics protection unit at the municipal level, and changed its name to "Beijing Jiaozhuanghu tunnel war site Memorial Hall". Jiaozhuanghu village was under the leadership of the Anti Japanese base in Eastern Hebei during the war, and was the only way to Pingxi and Pingbei base. The people of Jiaozhuanghu fought hard here.
