Shengou Township

Shengou Township, subordinate to Jingning County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province, is located in the southwest of Jingning County, adjacent to Lidian town in the southeast, Zhiping Township in the northeast, Xinjing township of Tongwei County in the southwest, and Xindian Township in the northwest. It covers an area of 63 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 7542 households in Shenzhen Valley Township registered residence.

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Zhiping township. In September 1958, it belonged to Pinghe commune. In December 1979, Shengou commune was restored. In November 1983, it was changed into Shengou township. As of June 2020, Shengou township has jurisdiction over 8 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Shengou village.

In 2018, there were two industrial enterprises and one comprehensive store or supermarket with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Shengou township.

Historical evolution

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Zhiping township.

In August 1949, it belonged to the third district (Zhiping).

In September 1958, it belonged to Pinghe commune.

In December 1961, Shengou commune was established.

In February 1964, it was incorporated into Zhiping commune.

In December 1979, Shengou commune was restored.

In November 1983, it was changed into Shengou township.

Shengou township is located in the southwest of Jingning County, adjacent to Lidian town in the southeast, Zhiping Township in the northeast, Xinjing township of Tongwei County in the southwest and Xindian Township in the northwest. It covers an area of 63 square kilometers.

Most of Shengou township is located in mountainous areas with vertical and horizontal gullies. The terrain inclines from northwest to Southeast. There are a few river valleys with the highest altitude of 1989 meters and the average altitude of 1700 meters.
