Historical evolution

Ma Xiu township was established in 1960, the commune was changed in 1970, and the township was restored in 1984.

Medical and health services

On June 15, 2017, the medical team of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat sen University held a free medical consultation in Maxiu Township, receiving more than 100 Tibetan compatriots and delivering 5000 yuan of medicine.
