Waxiang

Basu County, Changdu City, Tibet Autonomous Region governs townships and four village committees, namely, Xiaba village, Xueke village, Rubai village and WABA village.

It is located in the west of Basu County, Changdu City, Tibet, 43 kilometers away from the county seat. It is adjacent to Xiali Township in the north, Baima town in the South and Kangyu Township in Bomi County, Linzhi city in the West.

The township covers an area of 116.43 square kilometers.

In 2017, there were 433 people in the township.

On October 9, 2018, all 91 households in Wa township have been relocated to the resettlement sites around Basu county.

Wa township was established in 960, the commune was changed in 1974, and the township was restored in 1984. on September 16, 2018, the whole village of Xueke village in Wa township was relocated to the resettlement site of ex situ poverty alleviation around Basu county. on September 20, 2018, the whole villages of WABA village and Rupa village of Wa Township were relocated to the resettlement sites of ex situ poverty alleviation around Basu county. on October 9, 2018, the whole village of Xiaba village of Wa township was relocated to the resettlement site of ex situ poverty alleviation around Basu county. So far, all 91 households in Wa township have been relocated to the resettlement sites around Basu county.

In August 2015, the highway from K21 + 050 to sharaosi of WABA village, WA Township, Basu county was preliminarily accepted, with a total length of 8.757 km and a total investment of more than 2 million yuan. in January 2017, there was no electricity or road in Shaba village, WABA township. The mountain road leading to the outside was narrow, only one horse could pass through, and the mobile phone signal was weak.
