It is connected with Jianshe township (formerly Namu township) in the south, Liaonan street in the West and Liaobei street in the north. It covers a total area of 51 square kilometers. By the end of 2011, the total population of Zhengjiatun sub district was 35204.

It used to belong to Zhengjiatun town. In December 1996, Zhengjiatun street was set up. As of June 2020, Zhengjiatun street has four communities and one administrative village.
