Renbu County of Shigatse City governs the town and the people's Government of the county is stationed. Located in the Midwest of the county. Dejilin means "Happy Island" in Tibetan. The township was established in 1961, the commune was changed in 1970, the township was restored in 1984, and Jixiong and gongruofu townships were merged in 1988. It covers an area of 320 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 9 village committees and 73 natural villages. The town government is located in qiangqin village. Population 4535, all Tibetan. The economy is dominated by agriculture, planting highland barley, wheat, rape and so on. Produce blue stone grass, Fritillaria, Saussurea, rhubarb, angelica, Plantago and so on. There are two primary schools and health centers. The road is open.
