Miyu Township

Miyu township is located in the southwest of Loufan County, 20 kilometers away from the county, with a total area of 212 square kilometers and a cultivated area of 40000 mu. There are 16 administrative villages and 24 natural villages in the township, with a permanent population of 6745 (2017). There are 18 grassroots branches, including 16 rural branches and 419 party members. The crops are potatoes, corn and millet. In 2006, the total income of the township was 22.75 million yuan. The per capita net income of farmers is 1830 yuan.

Miyu town is rich in historical and cultural heritage. Among them, 12 ancient cultural and architectural sites and 4 ancient tombs have been found. Gao Junyu's former residence and the famous battle site in Miyu town are located at fenglingdi of Jingyou town and Guolian village of Miyu town respectively. They are the provincial patriotic education base and the provincial cultural relics protection unit.

Located in Guolian village, Miyu Town, southwest of Loufan County, 15 km away from the county. In June 1940, more than 700 Japanese troops from the village brigade in Jingle County went south in an attempt to eliminate the Anti Japanese armed forces in Loufan and Jiaocheng. The 358 brigade of the 120th division of the Eighth Route Army surrounded Miyu Town, Guolian and xingxingzhuang. With the cooperation of the local militia and the masses, it fought fiercely for three days and nights and wiped out all the Japanese troops. This is a beautiful war of annihilation in the well-known Jin Sui border region, which has been recorded in the history of the Chinese people's Liberation Army and the Anti Japanese war. In 1996, the Communist Party members of Loufan County and some Loufan veteran cadres working in other places donated money to build the "battle monument of Miyu town". The monument to the martyrs of Shuiyu incident is located in Shuiyu village, Miaowan Township, Loufan County, 15.5km away from the county seat. In 1942, on the second day of the first month of the lunar calendar, the three prefectural committees and three special offices of the Shanxi Suiyuan border region stationed in Shuiyu village were suddenly attacked by more than 100 Japanese invaders from the ancient diplomatic relations. In the fierce battle, more than 20 cadres and the masses, including Cui Yisheng, director of the Organization Department of the prefectural Party committee, died bravely. More than 30 cadres and the masses, including Zhang xuexuan, Secretary of the prefectural Party committee, were captured. The rest of the cadres were rescued by the masses. In 1996, a monument was erected in front of the tombs of the martyrs in Shuiyu village to commemorate the martyrs and educate the party members, cadres and teenagers on patriotism.

Loufan County has three tourist areas. Yunding mountain is the main tourist area in the west, including the residence of Liu Shaoqi road in Guojiazhuang village, the battle monument in Miyu Town, and the tomb of the battle martyrs in Miyu town; the county seat is the center, including the Sanjiao temple, Loufan ancient city site, Longhe mountain, and Pujing temple in zhouhongshan; Fenhe Reservoir is the main tourist area, including Guanyin Temple in luojiaqu village, fankuai temple in Xiguoyuan village, Shixia hot spring, and so on The former residence of Gao Junyu and the memorial of martyrs in Shuiyu incident are reservoir tourist areas.
