Mengyi town
Mengyi town is located in the east of Shiqu County, 2 kilometers away from the county. Mengyi town is located in the east of Shiqu County, 2km away from the county; it is connected with Xinrong Township in the East, xiazha town in the south, NiGa town in the West and derongma Township in the north. It is said that two brothers settled down here a long time ago, and all the 12 scriptures they brought were given away to the temple. To commemorate the gift, they named it "Mengyi", which means "ancient scriptures". In 1959, the people's Government of Mengyi township was established. In 1974, it was changed into Mengyi people's commune. In 1983, it was restored to the people's Government of Mengyi township. In September 2015, the people's Government of Mengyi township was abolished and the people's Government of Mengyi town was established.
