Guankou Street

It belongs to Dujiangyan City, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It is named because it is located at the mouth of the irrigation canal of Dujiangyan, a famous water conservancy project. Its construction history can be traced back to the southern and Northern Dynasties 1600 years ago. It is one of the birthplaces of ancient Shu culture.

Evolution of organizational system

It is named because it is located in the area of baopingkou, the general water intake of Dujiangyan irrigation area. Guankou town was first built in the Northern Wei Dynasty. Wenshan County was set up in the Northern Zhou Dynasty, Panlong county and guanning County in the Tang Dynasty, Yongan army and Yongkang army in the Song Dynasty, Guanzhou and Guanxian in the Yuan Dynasty and Ming Dynasty.

In 1911, it was renamed Chengxiang.

Chengguan District was established in 1950.

In 1956, it was changed to Chengguan town.

It was renamed Guankou town in 1958.

In 1996, it governed four administrative villages, Lingyan, Baihua, Wanling and gaogeng, and 29 neighborhood committees.

In 2014, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, Dujiangyan City adjusted some administrative divisions. Guankou town and Xingfu town were abolished, and five sub district offices were set up, including Guankou street, Xingfu street, Yinxing street, Yongfeng street and kuiguangta street.
