Heping Township
Heping township is a place name. It has the same name in 19 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) including Heilongjiang Province, Gansu Province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Qinghai Province. Due to the influence of natural conditions and different local policy planning, there are differences in the development and construction of each township.
General situation of hometown
Mishan city is under the jurisdiction of Heping city. It is located 2.5km to the east of Mishan City, adjacent to Peide town and Xingkai town in the north, 12 to Xingkai farm in the East and Zhiyi town in the south, with a total area of 191 square kilometers. The township government is located in Xingfu village, 1km away from the urban area. The township has a total area of 191 square kilometers, cultivated land area of 88000 mu, and rice planting area accounts for about 60%. It is the main rice producing area in Mishan city. In 1992, the total output value of township enterprises was 43.82 million yuan.
Division evolution
In the autumn of 1947, it was under the jurisdiction of Dong'an district. Dongxing District was added in 1948 and changed to the 13th District in September 1950. In March 1956, the township was divided into five townships: Heping, Xinnong, Xinjian, sanrenban and Hongqi. In August 1957, sanrenban township was changed into Dongming township. In January of the next year, Hongqi township was merged into Dongming township. In August 1958, the people's commune of peace was established. In September 1961, Yongsheng, Heping and other 10 production brigades were put under the jurisdiction of the newly established Shuangsheng commune. In April 1984, it was changed into Heping township. In November of the same year, it was changed into Heping Korean township.
administrative division
Heping township has 12 administrative villages (Xingfu, Dongfeng, Dongsheng, sanrenban, farm, Qingyu, Dongxing, Xincheng, Qinghe, Xinjian, Xintian, Xinli), including 4 Korean villages (Dongming, Guangming, Xingguang, Dongxian), and 70 natural villages. The total population of the township is 12742 (2017). The ethnic groups are Han, Korean, Manchu, Hui and Mongolian. With a population of 4850, it is the only Korean town in the city.
natural resources
Heping township is located in the alluvial plain between Muling River and Peide River, with fertile soil, known as "land of fish and rice". There are two major resources in Heping township. One is water resources. The second, third and fourth main canals of Qingnian reservoir flowing through Heping township have a total length of 36 kilometers and an irrigation area of 2800 hectares. The Muling River irrigation area has a total length of 26 kilometers, forming a drainage and irrigation network of Dongxian first and second main canals. The second irrigation area irrigates 80000 mu of paddy field in the township. There are also 360 hectares of big and small paozi, which have developed the fish farming industry of the whole township; second, there are grassland resources. The grassland area of the whole township is 153.3 hectares, which is mainly distributed in the east of Dongming Dynasty and the river of Muling River, which is suitable for the development of cattle raising and animal husbandry.
