Xiangping town
Xiangping town is located in the west of Liannan Yao Autonomous County, Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province, bordering woshui town and damaishan town in the East, Futang town and xiaosanjiang town in Lianshan County in the south, Lianshan county (Jitian town) in the west, Daping town and Taibao town in Lianshan County in the north. With a total area of 184.97 square kilometers, the town has jurisdiction over six administrative villages, divided into two areas, Xiangping area and Panshi area. The town government is set up in Xiangping district. The average distance from Panshi district to the town government is about 48 km. The total population of the town is more than 11000, including more than 5000 in Panshi district and more than 6000 in Xiangping district. It is a pure Yao town.

It has jurisdiction over six Village Committees (Xiangping village committee, Qixing village committee, tangqier village committee, Longshui village committee, Panshi village committee and Paidu village committee). Natural conditions
Xiangping town is a town inhabited by Yao people with half agriculture and half forest. The mountain forest area accounts for 90.3% of the total area of the town, producing fir, pine, moso bamboo, Camellia oleifera, Ma ya, etc. It is also rich in oil dumplings, Litsea cubeba, tea, mushrooms, Auricularia auricula, polygonatum, Huanglian, honeysuckle, small lily, ginger, hawthorn, Panax japonicus and other local products, as well as the "living fossil" Alsophila spinulosa, a national rare first-class protected plant. In the forest, there are a large number of animals such as wild boar, hare, Swertia, beaver and monkey. In the river, there are salamander and turtle. Underground, there are gold, silver, tungsten, lead and zinc It is rich in water resources.

Xiangping town plans to attract investment to build longshuikou I Hydropower Station and Qixing and dalutang small hydropower stations in the next few years, expand the bamboo shoot and yellow tobacco planting area, increase the number of duck breeding, and make them become the key products of Xiangping. It also plans to develop the construction of Lingxiang base, set up fresh bamboo shoot factory and hydropower station and other projects.

Xiangping town is a traditional forestry and agricultural town, with more than 4 points of arable land per capita and about 25 mu of woodland. In 2009, the total income of rural economy in the town was 42.404 million yuan, including 35.846 million yuan from the primary industry, 4.476 million yuan from the secondary industry and 2.082 million yuan from the tertiary industry. The main income of the whole town is planting trees. Nowadays, most young people go to the Pearl River Delta to find jobs. Generally, they are not in the farming period, and the villages are "desolate".

Xiangping town has superior geographical location and convenient transportation. National Highway 323 runs through the whole town, and the "Er Guang" expressway under construction also runs through the whole town. The town government is 35km away from Liannan county and 2km away from Lianshan County; it is 110km away from Hezhou City in Guangxi in the west, 110km away from HUAIJI County in Zhaoqing City in the south, and to Liannan County in the East. It can reach Qinglian Expressway and national highway 107. It is 202 kilometers from Liannan county to Shaoguan in the East, 165 kilometers to Qingyuan and 230 kilometers to Guangzhou in the south, and Chenzhou and Yongzhou in Hunan in the north.
