Kuangyuan Street

Kuangyuan sub district office of Yiliang County is located in the southeast of Kunming City and the middle of Yiliang Bazi. It is the seat of the county, 52 km away from Kunming. Kuangyuan sub district office, formerly known as Kuangzhou, was set up in Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty. In March 2006, Penglai Township and Kuangyuan town were merged into Kuangyuan town. In September 2009, Nanyang town and Kuangyuan town were merged into Kuangyuan town. In April 2011, Kuangyuan town was merged into Kuangyuan sub district office. Nanyang street was set up in February 2018. So far, Kuangyuan street has been adjusted from the original 30 communities to 18. Kuangyuan street has 18 communities under its jurisdiction, namely Qingyuan, Kuangshan, Liren, Xinhua, Kuangyuan, Fazhan, Penglai, Yongfeng, Baohong, Jinmei, Qixing, Ruixing, Shanhou, limaoying, muxing, Wenquan, Yongxin and Jinxing.
