Daxin sub district office is located 10 kilometers to the west of Jimo City, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. It has 80 administrative villages, 66000 people and a total area of 100 square kilometers.
In October 2019, Daxin Town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".

General situation of the town
Daxin Town is located in the outskirts of Qingdao City, Shandong Province. It is 10 kilometers away from the historic city of Jimo in the East, and borders Chengyang District, a national export processing zone in the south. It is located in the western new economic zone of Jimo. The town governs 32 administrative villages, with a total area of 42.03 square kilometers, cultivated land area of 24869 Mu and a total population of 27000. It is a suburban town with secondary and tertiary industries as the main body.
Jinan Qingdao, Qingdao Yinchuan and Qingdao Weihai expressways run through the town. Lan'ao Road, Qingping Road, Nancheng Road, Guocheng road and other provincial highways run through the town. Hongjiang river runs from north to South and meanders to Jiaozhou Bay. It has abundant water resources and belongs to temperate monsoon climate. There is no severe heat in summer and cold in winter. Traffic conditions
The town is 40 km away from the center of Qingdao, 12 km away from Qingdao International Airport, 30 km away from Qingdao port, and only 3 km away from Jimo railway station. It is adjacent to Qinghuang expressway, and Jiqing expressway runs across the south of the town. The exits of the two overpasses are within the jurisdiction of the town, connecting with the main roads in the town. The origin of town name
It was named after Daxin village, which was originally named Diao village. Later, there were no people surnamed Diao living in the village. The villagers changed their name to "Daxin village" for the sake of lucky.

In 2006, the town had 32 administrative villages with a total population of 27010, including 13585 males and 13425 females. The total area is 42 square kilometers, with 1389 hectares of arable land. In 2012, the original Jimo City made a new planning for towns, and Pudong Town was included in the scope of Daxin Town, thus Pudong Town became Pudong community.
In 2013, as the largest fruit wholesale market in Jiangbei area, Qingdao Dongfang Dingxin international agricultural and sideline products trading center officially settled in Daxin Town of Jimo on December 7, and soon officially opened.
