Kangbu Township

Yadong County, Shigatse City, Tibet Autonomous Region of the people's Republic of China governs the township and two administrative villages, shangkangbu village and xiakangbu village.

Located in the west of Yadong County, Shigatse City, 45 kilometers away from the county.

It is the main beef producing area in Yadong county. In 1960, shangkangbu Township and xiakangbu Township were established separately. In 1969, they were renamed shangkangbu people's Commune and xiakangbu people's commune respectively. In 1984, they were renamed shangkangbu Township and xiakangbu Township respectively. Both of them were under the jurisdiction of Pali town. After the district was withdrawn and the township was merged in 1988, the two townships were merged into Kangbu Township and included in the direct jurisdiction of Yadong county.

Historical evolution

In 960, it was divided into shangkangbu Township and xiakangbu township. in 1969, it was renamed shangkangbu people's Commune and xiakangbu people's commune respectively, and in 1984, it was renamed shangkangbu Township and xiakangbu Township respectively, both under the management of Pali town. after the district was withdrawn and the township was merged in 1988, the two townships were merged into Kangbu Township, which was directly under the jurisdiction of Yadong county.
