Anning City is under the jurisdiction of the streets and the residence of the municipal government. Located in the northeast of the city. The resident population was 114810 (2010). It governs 12 communities and 3 administrative villages.

At the beginning of 1949, it was divided into three towns: Yong'an, Qingming and Lianran. Later, it became Yong'an Town, and was renamed Lianran town at the end of 1949. In September 1950, Longbao was the Fourth District, with jurisdiction over Datun, Jinchang, Heye, Luobai, blissful, Xiangshi, Taiping, Songlin, Wenquan, tianzimiaoji 10 townships and Lianran town.
In December 1951, the four districts governed 11 townships and Lianran Town, including Qingshui, Heye, Luoyang, blissful, Xiangshi, Taiping, Guangliang, Songlin, Dianzhong, Wenquan and tianzimiao.
In October 1956, the district was removed and changed into Liancheng district. It has jurisdiction over seven townships of bliss, Jinchang, Guangliang, Taiping, Xiangshi, Wenquan, tianzimiao and Lianran town. Liaoyuan commune was established in 1958, with seven management areas including Lianran, Datun, blissful, Jinchang, Taiping, Guangliang and Xiangshi.
In March 1959, liaoying commune was under the jurisdiction of Lianran, blissful, Datun, Jinchang, Puhe, Yuanshan, Hongyuan, Guangliang, Taiping and Xiangshi. It was changed into Liancheng commune in 1961.
At the end of 1962, the organizational system of Lianran town was restored and the neighborhood committee was set up; Liancheng commune governed Luobai, Siyi, Jinchang, Puhe, Taohua, Tongxian, Songlin, Heping and Datun brigades. In May 1964, Liancheng commune had 12 production teams and 72 production teams, including Lianran, Yanchang, Datun, Tongxian, Laiyuan, Siyi, Luobai, Jinchang, Taohua, Puhe, Heping and Songlin.
In 1984, the commune was changed into a district office. Liancheng District governs 10 townships including Lianran, Yanchang, Songlin, Heping, Datun, Luobai, Caiyuan, Puhe, Taohua (Bai nationality township) and Jinchang (Bai nationality township), and Lianran town governs one neighborhood committee.
In February 1988, Liancheng district and Lianran town were merged into Lianran Town, which has jurisdiction over 12 offices of Lianran, Wujiazhuang, Yanchang, blissful, Datun, Luobai, Taohua, yakouwai, Jinchang, Puhe, Tongxian and Siyi, 5 neighborhood committees of Xiaoqiao street, Maimi street, Gongyuan Road, Yanchang Road and Lianran Street, 68 village committees and 70 natural villages.
In 1996, it covers an area of 138 square kilometers and has a population of 42000. It governs 13 administrative villages including Lianran street, qianhuzhuang, Yanchang, Lianran, Wujiazhuang, blissful, Datun, Luobai, Taohua, Jinchang, Puhe, Tongxian and Siba.
On March 21, 2001, Anning municipal government (anzhengfu No. 5) approved: 1. To cancel Lianran town salt farm office and its subordinate salt farm village committee, yangliuzhuang village committee and baoxingzhuang village committee. 2、 Lianran town salt farm neighborhood committee and its subordinate yangliuzhuang residents group, baoxingzhuang residents group, salt farm residents group 1, salt farm residents group 2, salt farm residents group 3 were established.
In 2003, Lianran town covers an area of 138 square kilometers, with a total population of 119463, including 21184 agricultural population. It has a social management office, which governs 8 communities, 10 village committees, 69 natural villages and 69 villager groups. In 2006, Lianran town covers an area of 138 square kilometers and has a population of 132000. It governs 8 communities, namely JinFang, Wenhua Road, Donghu, tangchuan, Baihua, Baoxing, xiaocaiyuan and Guangming, 10 administrative villages, namely qianhuzhuang, Wujiazhuang, Datun, Tongxian, Siyi, Puhe, Jinchang, Luobai, Taohua and Jile, and the town government is stationed on Quanshan road. On December 7, 2007, Yunnan provincial government (yunzhengfu No. 66) approved the cancellation of Lianran town and the establishment of Lianran street and JinFang street.
