Jinbei Township

Jinbei township is located in the eastern edge of the District, 40 kilometers away from Baicheng, covering an area of 28.52 square kilometers. The highest altitude is 792 meters in Xiejia mountain, and the lowest altitude is 300.6 meters in mupeng river. It is adjacent to Pingchang Shuan in the East, Dupai in the south, Liangyong in the west, Lushan and zengkou in the north.

In December 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province agreed to adjust Bazhou District of Bazhong City, cancel Jinbei Township, and put its administrative area under the jurisdiction of zengkou Town, which is located at No. 54 Zengxi street.

Evolution of organizational system

The predecessor of Jinbei township was Fuxing Township, which was under the jurisdiction of zengkou Township in the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. After the founding of new China, it was under the control of Lushan Township and Shuangshan Township respectively. In 1956, Lushan and Shuangshan townships were abolished, and then they were built independently and named Renaissance. After 1982, jinbeiliang was renamed jinbeixiang.

Jinbei township is located in the southeast corner of Bazhou District, more than 40 kilometers away from Baicheng, covering an area of 28.52 square kilometers. It is a three pronged place (bordering Pingchang Shuan in the East, Liangyong in the west, Dubai in the South and zengkou in the North).

Now it has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee, 65 villager groups and 7155 people (2017). The terrain of the township fluctuates greatly, with one village and three mountains dominating the whole territory (dachengzhai in the East, Xiejiashan in the south, Shuangshan in the West and xiaoyanshan in the North). The altitude of Xiejia mountain is 792 meters, which is the highest in the whole township. The altitude of Mulian river is only 300.6 meters, which is the lowest point of Bazhong City. The winding Ba River surrounds the whole township.

The subtropical humid climate with four distinct seasons has made the whole Township beautiful, rich in forest resources and construction resources, and the forest coverage rate has reached more than 46%. At present, there are 6 sand and stone mining fields, 1 strip stone mining field, 2 shale brick production plants, large pig breeding base, field ecology company, and abundant in sugarcane, ginger and orange.
