Puqi street is located in the urban area of Chibi. It is a key area for Chibi municipal Party committee and municipal government to plan and develop industry. It covers an area of 76 square kilometers and has a total population of 118129 people (in 2010). It has 13 neighborhood committees and 4 village committees: datianfan, Tieshan, zhaigongling, Lushui, crucian carp bridge, Jinjishan, North Street, hongqiqiao, Fenghuangshan, Huazhou, carbonaceous, heshangling, West Street; kuzhuqiao, jinqiqiao Xiangtan, Wangshan, WUHONGSHAN, 53 subordinate enterprises. Puqi street is the economic and cultural center of Chibi City and one of the top 50 towns in Hubei Province.

cultural antecedents

Puqi, formerly known as chunchuan, is an ancient historical city. According to historical records, it was built in 213 by Lu Su, a great general of the eastern Wu Dynasty in the Three Kingdoms. It has a history of 1793 years. It is located in the southeast of Hubei Province, South Bank of Yangtze River, downstream of Lushui River, adjacent to Hunan Province. They are mainly Han nationality. The Neolithic age belongs to Daxi cultural area. Han Gaozu six years (201 BC), home Shaxian County, Puqi is Shaxian.
