Liancun town
Liancun town is located 15 kilometers to the east of Ye County, Henan Province, adjacent to Shuizhai Township and Wuyang County of Luohe City in the East, Tianzhuang Township and Xiantai town in the south, Chengguan Township in the west, Dengli Township and Gongdian Township in the north, and Liancun is the seat of the town government. Liancun town covers an area of 89.93 square kilometers, with 53 administrative villages, 96 natural villages and 286 villager groups. The cultivated land area and total population of Liancun town rank first in Ye County.
Liancun town has convenient transportation. Lannan (Lankao Nanyang) and nanluo (Nanjing Luoyang) expressways meet here. Provincial highway Shinan (Shitun Nanguan) and county highway Hongxin, Hebei Road, houwa Road pass through the area.
General situation
Liancun Town, Ye County, Henan Province, formerly known as Liancun township. with a total area of 89.93 square kilometers, the town governs 53 administrative villages, 96 natural villages, 286 villager groups, and a total population of 62647 (2017). It is an important economic, cultural, business center and agricultural products distribution center in the east of Ye County. Liancun town has a long history and splendid culture. It is named because the township government is located in Liancun. In the early Ming Dynasty, some people moved from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province to Jiannan and Beier villages. Because the two villages were close to each other, they were named Liancun. Later generations called Liancun because they lived incorruptly. Liancun town belonged to Kunyang in ancient times, and then to Ye County. It was Liancun Township from 1944 to 1946, and its name changed constantly. In 1984, it was changed from Liancun people's commune to Liancun Township, and in 2009, it was abolished to establish Liancun town. In the territory of Guye County, there is one of the eight scenic spots called "Jiangwu terrace", which is a landscape of a solitary mountain raised on the flat ground. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Ma Rong once talked about Shangshu here and changed the original name of Qinglong mountain to Shangshu terrace. In the second year of Tang Xianqing (657 AD), Emperor Gaozong and Empress Wu preached martial arts here. Xu zhoumu granted Daohong performance. Please change it to talk about Wutai. There is a jade Buddha statue existing in Yexian Museum. Yuejinmen and wujitai are the unique cultural relics of Liancun town. Liancun is a unique transportation hub in the whole province. LAN (Kao) Nan (Yang) and Nan (Jing) Luo (Yang) two expressways cross here, the total length of the territory section is more than 24 kilometers; another jiao (Zuo) Tong (BAI) expressway is about to start. The provincial road Shizhuang Nanguan runs through the East and west of Liancun town. The county road Hongxin line, Hebei Road, houwa road and rural roads form a crisscross traffic network in Liancun town. the construction area of the government is 3.2 square kilometers. All the roads in the government's residence have been hardened and afforested, street lamps have been installed, and the infrastructure such as garden green space, rural passenger station and homes for the aged have been built. Liancun town has taken the lead in formulating a 15 year development plan for small towns in the county, which has been approved by the county government for implementation. The removal of villages to build towns has been inspected by the Provincial Department of civil affairs and is being submitted to the provincial government for approval. The development of industry and agriculture in Liancun is rapid. At present, beer production, tricycle research and development, grain deep processing and other leading industries have been formed. Liancun town is the largest agricultural township in Ye County. It has continuously strengthened the adjustment of agricultural structure, and formed three major agricultural leading industries: animal husbandry, high-quality grain and forestry. The total output value of animal husbandry accounts for more than 60% of the total agricultural output value, and the sown area of high-quality grain reaches 60000 mu. It is a green standard Township in Pingyuan County, with a forest coverage rate of more than 15%.
