Pingyong town

Pingyong town is located about 40 kilometers northwest of Rongjiang County, Guizhou Province. It has a total area of 166.2 square kilometers and a population of 20821 in 2014. The town government is located in pingdingyong, which is the political, economic and cultural center of the northwest of the county.

Pingyong town is located in the northwest of Rongjiang County, Guizhou Province, 39 kilometers away from the county seat and 134 kilometers away from Kaili, the prefecture seat. It is adjacent to Renli Shui nationality township in the East, Zhongzhi town in the southeast, Pingjiang town in the south, Sanjiang Shui nationality township in the southwest, Tashi Yao Shui nationality township in the west, Pingyang Township in the north and Leli town in the northeast.

Regional population

The town government is located in Pingyong community, 380 meters above sea level. It is the political, economic and cultural center of the town. The town governs 16 administrative villages, 112 villager groups and 1 community neighborhood committee. In November 2013, it was merged into seven central villages (communities), namely: Pingyong community (Pingyong village, Pingyong neighborhood committee), qiaohai central village (qiaohai village, Liuxing Village), Pingzhai central village (Pingzhai village, bidiaocen village, lengli Village), Pingyou central village (Pingyou village, Qiaoxi Village), Longtang central village (Longtang village, Zhongzhai Village), Wupo central village (Wupo village, Jieyou village, Guibu Village), Mazhai central village（ Mazhai village, Tianba village, Mingfeng Village). The total area is 166.2 square kilometers. In 2014, there were 5802 households with a total population of 20821, including 11313 males and 9508 females. In the total population, Dong, Miao, Han, Shui and Yao are the main ethnic groups, accounting for 19716, accounting for 96%. There are 18 ethnic groups including Dong, Miao, Han, Shui, Yao, Buyi, Yi, Tujia, Zhuang, Hui, Zang, she, Dai, Chuanqing, Mongolia, Mulao, Gelao and Li. There are 1033 non-agricultural population, the natural growth rate of population is 5.2 ‰, the per capita annual net income of farmers is 5855 yuan, and the per capita food consumption is 310 kg. The enrollment rate of school-age children is 100%, the consolidation rate of middle school is 95.8%, and the ethnic minorities with large population are Dong, Miao and Shui.

Pingyong town is located in the deep mountain landform of the plateau, with large undulating terrain. The average altitude of the whole town is 450 meters. Cenguipo, the highest peak in the town, is located in Zhongzhai village, with an altitude of 1626 meters. Zhongba, the lowest point, is located in Pingyong village, with an altitude of 325 meters. The forestland area of the town is 14625 hectares, the forest coverage rate is 88%, and the volume of standing trees is 1.43 million cubic meters. The annual accumulated temperature is 17.6 ℃, the rainfall is 1400mm, and the frost free period is 299 days. The area of cultivated land is 13226 mu, including 9004 mu of paddy field and 4222 mu of dry land.

Economics

Pingyong town is rich in land and products. Pingyong, qiaohai and Wupo villages are rich in oranges and navel oranges. More than 100 mu of kudzu root base has been built in Shashapo, driving farmers to plant more than 1000 mu; Zhongzhai village has built "Lei Zhiyuan" leek root base, whose products are sold to South Korea; Pingyong village has built bagged mushroom planting base, which has driven Pingyong village, Pingyou village, qiaohai village, Wupo village and Qiaoxi village in Renli township to plant mushrooms, with a total of more than 50 farmers.

All 16 villages in Pingyong town have built village level roads (4 villages have oil roads, 1 village has cement roads, 6 villages are building cement roads, and 3 villages are building oil roads).
