It is adjacent to Vasi and Longmen in the East, NIHA in the west, bingtu and tagu in the north and Hagu in the south. Meigu River runs through the middle of the country. The mountains on the East and west sides are undulating, and the terrain inclines to the valley in the middle. The highest altitude is 3119 meters, and the lowest altitude is 2000 meters. The township government is located in mashinaitou on the West Bank of Meigu River in leijuemo village, with an altitude of 2050 meters and 31 kilometers away from the county seat. The total area is 33.47 square kilometers. It governs 5 villages, 30 groups and 746 households, including 3504 Yi and 71 Han.

In August 1956, he established the township and took charge of Ma shinaituo. In 1990, the total agricultural output value of the township was 842100 yuan (410000 yuan for agriculture, 132000 yuan for forestry, 229500 yuan for animal husbandry, and 189400 yuan for sideline and fishery); the area of permanent cultivated land was 5305 mu, and the total grain output was 1328000 kg. The main products are corn, potato, buckwheat, pepper, walnut and soybean. There are 849 cattle, 10 Buffalo, 3432 pigs, 1795 goats and 3141 sheep. The township has a bank credit union, 5 rural primary schools with 273 students, 1 health center and 1 medical staff.
