Longe town

Longe town is a town under the jurisdiction of Liping County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province. Formerly known as longe Township, it was withdrawn from township to town in December 2012.

Longe town is located in the South East of Liping County. In December 2012, with the approval of the provincial government, longe town was built from the township. It is 100 km away from the county seat and 17 km away from 321 national road. It is adjacent to Shuikou Town, Leidong Township and Tongle township of Sanjiang County in Guangxi Province in the East, Diping township of Liping County in the south, Fulu town of Sanjiang County in Guangxi Province in the West and Zhaoxing township of Liping County in the north. The main passageways for Liping to go south to "Guangdong and Guangxi" -- Guiyang Guangzhou high speed railway and Li Gao (Liping to Gao'an) highway pass through the territory. Therefore, it is known as the "South Gate" of Liping County.

Longe town has a total area of 124 square kilometers, with a total land area of 185163.3 mu. The town governs 29 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee, 78 natural villages and 173 villager groups, with a total number of 5068 households and a total population of 22611, including 22497 people of Dong, Miao and other ethnic minorities, accounting for 99.5% of the total population of the town. Restricted by historical and geographical factors, the rural economic and social development of the township is relatively slow, the people's living standard is still relatively low, the poverty area is wide, and the poverty population is large. It is one of the six extremely poor townships in the county.

The terrain of longe town is mainly mountainous, and the soil type is red and yellow soil. With an average altitude of 350 meters, the terrain is high in the north and low in the south, and the climate is mild. It is a subtropical monsoon humid climate with low altitude and annual rainfall of 1000-1500 ml. It mainly grows rice, glutinous rice, wheat, cassava, potato, corn and other food crops, as well as rape, Camellia oleifera forest, chestnut, Siraitia grosvenorii, star anise, Lily and other economic crops. Among them, Camellia oleifera forest and Siraitia grosvenorii are the most. The total area of Camellia oleifera forest is 36260 mu, with an annual output of more than 2000 tons of tea seeds and more than 300 tons of oil. It is known as the "hometown of oil sea". Although the area of Camellia oleifera forest in our township is large, the yield is relatively low, because the tea trees are aging. Therefore, longe town began to carry out low yield transformation of Camellia oleifera forest in 2000, and the transformation is planned to be completed within 10 years. The yield of the reformed Camellia oleifera forest is more than three times higher than that before. Since the introduction of Siraitia grosvenorii seeds from Guangxi in 1997, by 2005, 270 households in 12 villages have planted Siraitia grosvenorii, with a planting area of 1290.8 mu. 607 Mu has produced economic benefits, with an annual output of 110 tons and an output value of 3.85 million yuan. It is planned to develop to 9000 Mu by 2010, striving to become a "Siraitia grosvenorii" town. The territory is dominated by fir, pine, bamboo, Quercus acutissima, Michelia and other coniferous and broad-leaved trees. The main minerals are silica ore and gold mine. Among them, the reserves of silica ore are relatively large. Only Baiyan (place name) silica ore in Gubang village has a total reserves of about 1 million tons. Through scientific detection, the silica content reaches 99.61%. It is an excellent mineral resource urgently to be developed in longe Township, with an annual mining capacity of 100000 tons and an annual output value of 1000 tons More than 10000 yuan.

Cultural customs

The ethnic culture in the town is rich in connotation, mainly including Dong Drum Tower Group, Dong opera, Dong and Miao Lusheng dance, Dong bamboo pole dance, Dong flute song, Dong big song, Dong step song hall (Doye), and "Notre Dame Temple". There are beautiful natural scenic spots such as "three dragons robbing treasure", "maweitan waterfall" and "Gubang banyan group".
