Chaoyang community is located in Shangma street, Chengyang District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. It is adjacent to Dongfeng salt field in the south, Xiangyang Village in the East, Xiaohuang community in the north and Xiama community in the West. In July 2004, the village was renamed Chaoyang community, with 668 mu of arable land and a population of 520 households and 1471 people.

The village originated in Yongle period of Ming Dynasty. The ancestors of he family migrated from Yunnan to Licun, so it was named Hejia village. In 1932, the villagers changed Hejia village into "Chaoyang village" with auspicious meaning. the population of the district is located on the North Bank of Jiaozhou Bay, 0.8km east of Shangma sub district office. economic status attracting investment is the key strategy of the community's economic development.
