Yala Township

Yala township is under the jurisdiction of Kangding City, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is located next to Kangding Love Song (MUGECUO), a national scenic spot. With the effective implementation of the national ecological environment comprehensive treatment project, the mountains of the township are more beautiful, the water is cleaner, and the farmers have stepped into the road of prosperity. In 2002, agricultural income alone increased the net income of 30 yuan per capita.

Yala township is located in the northeast of Kangding City, 11 kilometers away from the urban area. There are tourist roads passing through the county. It has jurisdiction over 10 village committees, including toudaoqiao, Erdaoqiao, sandaoqiao, Qugong, Mengqing, Xinxing, Yusi, Wangmu, sitongba and medieval.

Since Yala township was listed as the third batch of national ecological comprehensive treatment projects in 2001, with the support of the County Ecological Office, more than 2000 farmers in the township have been mobilized to fully implement the construction of mountain, water, field, forest and road projects. A total of 169500 voluntary workers and more than 4 million yuan of various construction funds have been invested, 39 kilometers of village level roads have been repaired and newly built, 19 drinking water facilities have been built, and the slope construction has been completed There are 22 hectares of cultivated land under control, and 1100 hectares of afforestation, enclosure and Grassland "three modernizations" under control. Through these engineering measures, 100% of the people in the township have drunk drinking water up to the standard, more than 50% of the cultivated land has been effectively irrigated, the amount of soil erosion has been reduced by at least 56000 tons every year, and the grain yield per mu has increased by 25 kg compared with that in the non control area.
