Chaoyang town is located in the southwest of Shizhong District, which is named after Chaoyang mountain. Chaoyang town covers an area of 35.48 square kilometers, connecting Fengming town (Shizhong District) in the East, Donglian town (Weiyuan County) in the west, Yong'an town (Shizhong District) in the south, Quan'an town (Shizhong District) and Chenjia town (Zizhong County) in the north.

Chaoyang town has convenient transportation.
