Jianshe township is located in the outskirts of Shuangliao City. It faces Wohu, Hongqi and Wangben towns across the Xiliao River in the East, Sanjiangkou town of Changtu County in Liaoning Province in the south, kezuohou banner in Inner Mongolia in the West and KeZuoZhong banner in Inner Mongolia in the north. Township government is located in Shuangliao County, beautiful scenery, outstanding people.
Jianshe township is about 6 kilometers wide from east to west and 38 kilometers long from north to south. The township covers an area of 108 square kilometers, including 3253 hectares of cultivated land and 0.22 hectares of cultivated land per capita. There are 14809 agricultural population and 706 ethnic minorities, accounting for 4.1% of the total population. The land reform was carried out in Jianshe Township in 1948 and completed in December 1949. In 1949, the township set up seven mutual aid groups. In 1953, 12 agricultural production cooperatives were established. At the end of 1955, all the farmers in the township joined the senior cooperatives. Communization was carried out in 1958. After 1984, early maturing watermelons covered with plastic film were introduced and planted for 10 hectares, yielding 50000 kg of watermelons. In the whole Township, the annual output of Chinese cabbage is about 200 kg, with an increase of 100000 kg per hectare. The annual output of Chinese cabbage is 20 million kg, as well as green onion, potato, sweet potato, radish and so on. Jianshe Township made full use of all kinds of favorable conditions in the suburbs of the county, vigorously developed vegetable production, and made great efforts to build greenhouse vegetable production base. In 1995, the area of greenhouse vegetables in the non military zone increased by 237000 square meters. In 1995, the township raised 10000 pigs, 4000 cattle, 2000 sheep, 100000 geese and 20000 chickens. In processing industry, there are 15 rice noodle processing plants, 7 tofu protection plants, 3 wineries and 7 garment processing plants in the township. In the transportation industry, there are 7 specialized transportation households in the township, 95 households who use various vehicles to pull feet in the city all the year round, 4 large and medium-sized cars and 28 large and medium-sized rubber tyred tractors. Township run enterprises mainly include: steel window factory with 22 employees, which can be used for empty and solid steel windows, with an annual output value of 1.5 million yuan and a profit of 100000 yuan; wood processing factory with 9 employees, with an annual output value of 100000 yuan and a profit of 10000 yuan; carpet factory with 250 employees, with an annual output value of 3 million yuan and a profit of 100000 yuan; quarry with 25 employees, with an output value of 500000 yuan and a profit of 20000 yuan; brick factory with 50 employees, with an annual output value of 900000 yuan There are 7 village run enterprises, including large chicken farms, wineries, gas stations, silica sand mines, carpet factories, etc. Jianshe township is located along the Xiliao River. Xiliao River flows through 28.12 km. There are abundant wicker resources on the river bank, so it has favorable conditions for the development of willow weaving industry. Since 1981, the township party committee and the government have organized farmers to develop the willow weaving industry, and provided technical support, which has made the willow weaving industry develop rapidly. According to statistics at the end of 1995, the township has set up 22 willow weaving business sites, with more than 600 women and auxiliary labor force engaged in willow weaving production. Products from the original several developed to 15, best-selling United States, Britain, France, Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong and other 11 countries and regions.
