Huangni Yi, Miao and Man nationality township is built by Dayan village, which is the former Huangni Yi, Miao and Mu Yi Township and Tianqiao Yi Mian township. The township covers an area of 85.74 square kilometers and has a population of 12921, including 5290 ethnic minorities, accounting for 40.94% of the total population of the township. The Township People's government is stationed in Huangni.

Because the Township People's government is located in the original name of huangnipo.

It is located in the north east of Dafang County, facing Anluo Miao Yi Manchu Township of Jinsha County across the river in the East, Dingxin Yi Miao Township, Renhe Yi Miao Township and Datian Yi Miao Buyi township of Qianxi County in the south, Shachang Yi Township in the West and Yuchong Township in the north. Evolution of administrative districts

In September 1950, it belonged to thirteen districts.

In April 1953, Huangni township was established in Huangni village, Taoyuan, chaomen and Cangshang.

In September 1958, Huangni commune was established; in November, the administrative area was changed.

In March 1963, Huangni commune was restored.

In 1984, it was changed into Huang Ni Yi Manchu Miao township.

In December 1991, Huang Ni Yi Miao Manchu Township was established by merging the three townships of Huang Ni Yi Manchu Miao Township, Jiamu Yi Township and Dayan village of Tianqiao Yi Miao township.
