Zituo town

Luolong County, Changdu City, Tibet governs towns and 12 village committees, including nya village, Xiaguo village, Geya village, jiariza village, DAAO village, ranni village, Ranchang village, Detong village, Guqu village, dagureng village, Zhongsong village and Dagong village. County Government resident.

It is located in the southwest of Changdu City, in the middle of Luolong County, adjacent to Kangsha town in the East and Shuodu town in the west, 298 km away from Changdu.

The town covers an area of 1224.34 square kilometers.

In 2017, there were 11370 people in the town.

It is a semi agricultural and semi pastoral town, planting highland barley, wheat and rape, and Grazing Yaks, cattle, goats and sheep.

National Highway 349 passes through zituo town.

In December 2019, zituo town was named the seventh batch of national demonstration areas (units) for national unity and progress.

Historical evolution

Zituo township was built in 1959.

In 1970, it was changed into a commune.

In 1984, the township was restored.

In 1988, Geya, zituo, niaya and Wangduo were merged to build zituo town.

Infrastructure construction

National Highway 349 (the upgrade of S303) passes through zituo town.

In early December 2015, the reconstruction project of Mali Luolong highway of S303 was handed over for preliminary inspection.

In August 2020, the bidding notice for highway construction from Zhongsong village to rilonglong natural village in zituo town and from Detong village to bugong natural village in zituo town was issued, with the total length of 8 km and 5.47 km respectively.

On September 1, 2020, the bidding notice for highway construction from Xiaguo village of zituo town to tonggetong natural village was issued, with a total length of 2.615 km.

Honors

In December 2019, zituo Town, Luolong County, Changdu City, Tibet Autonomous Region, was named as the seventh batch of national demonstration areas (units) for national unity and progress by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission.
