Yaopu town

Yaopu town is located 15 kilometers west of Anshun City, the hinterland of Central Guizhou, 20 kilometers away from Huangguoshu waterfall, and 11 kilometers away from Longgong, a national scenic spot. It is a must pass for western tourism in Guizhou. It is also the only way to go west to Yunnan. It has a total area of 97.72 square kilometers and a total population of 61337. It has 30 administrative villages and 2 neighborhood committees, and inhabits Han, Miao, Buyi, Bai and other nationalities. There are four military enterprises (Yunma factory, Fenglei factory (144), Longyan factory (150), 602 depot), three railway stations and a bulk yard with an annual throughput of 720000 tons. The Shanghai Kunming high-speed railway and Anliu intercity railway, which were opened in 2016, transit through Sanhe Village of Yaopu town.

Name and origin

It got its name because the town government was stationed in Yaopu village.

It is 13 kilometers away from the urban area and 109 kilometers away from the provincial capital Guiyang.
