Yushe town

The new Yushe town is located in the south of Liupanshui City and northwest of Shuicheng District, about 18.6 kilometers away from the city center. It borders shaomi town in the East, Pingzhai Township and Weining County in the west, and Yangmei Township and DuGe Township in the south. It is a typical karst landform with an average altitude of 1800m.

Historical evolution

Yushe town is a township level administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Shuicheng District, Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province, China.

In June 1992, Yushe township was established after the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, which was formed by the merging of Yushe, shejia, Muke, Gantang, Ejiao and Haiping.

In 2012, the provincial government (qianfuhan No. 261) approved that Yushe Yi and Miao township should be abolished and Yushe town should be set up, and the town government should be stationed in Yushe village;

On June 4, 2015, the provincial government (qianfuhan No. 129) approved Shuicheng County to abolish Yushe town and Zhichang Yi Township and set up a new Yushe Town: Yushe town governs the original Yushe town and Zhichang Yi Township, and the town government is stationed in Yushe neighborhood committee.

In July 2019, Guizhou Provincial People's government agreed to establish Haiping street in soma community, Alou community, Haiping village, Ejiao village, Gantang village and WuLiping village of Yushe town.

Yushe town governs Yushe neighborhood committee, Datian village, Qianjin village, Xinfa village, Xinglong Village, Qingsong village and Muke village, and the town people's government is stationed in Yushe neighborhood committee.

Population nationality

Han, Yi, Miao, Buyi, Mongolia and other ethnic groups live together in the town, of which Yi and Miao are the main ethnic minorities.

The township is rich in coal, forest and water resources, with sporadic lead-zinc, iron and copper minerals, which is not only suitable for the development of agriculture, but also suitable for the development of township enterprises. The traditional folk culture of Yi nationality is the most distinctive. The main crops are potato and corn, and the main economic crops are walnut and chestnut. The distribution of water resources is unbalanced, but the water quality is excellent. The Yuyuan reservoir, which can solve the drinking water problem of more than 300000 people in the downtown area, originated in Hongfa village and Yuanqing village of Yushe. Coal, iron, manganese, lead and zinc, ice rock, fluorite, dolomite and other mineral resources are all over the township, especially the coal resources are extremely rich, and the proven reserves are about 480 million tons.

Rich in tourism resources, luomiqi tourism resort has been developed and constructed early, with a certain scale, perfect facilities and pleasant scenery, and has become an important place for residents in the downtown area to take vacation and leisure. Yushe National Forest Park, known as "Liangdu jadeite", is famous all over the world. During the annual Liangdu summer cultural festival and many holidays, it has become the first choice for tourists both inside and outside the city. Haiping Yi Torch Festival, with strong original ethnic customs, is held in Haiping Yi Cultural Park, which is located at the entrance of Yushe forest park. The expansion and development of Haiping Yi Cultural Park has been included in the planning of the city, and many businessmen have come to discuss investment. In addition, the township has the world's rare Davidia involucrata, Magnolia and other species. Qianjiadiao, a historical building with the combination of Yi architectural style and Western architectural art, and Yuyuan reservoir, a magnificent reservoir with "high gorge out of Pinghu", have great potential for tourism development and broad prospects.
