Shenguo Township
Shenguo township is located in the alpine remote mountainous area in the southeast of Yuexi County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is connected with Meigu County in the East, waqujue Township in the south, zhuajue Township in Shangpuxiong in the west, and walique Township in the north. The township government is 80 kilometers away from the county seat. It is a typical Yi inhabited Township with an area of 64 square kilometers, inconvenient transportation and harsh environment. The average temperature is 7.2 ℃, and the annual rainfall is 1349 mm The frost free period is 160 days.
Developing industry
By the end of 2007, the township had 7 administrative villages, 16 villager groups and 2976 people, all of whom were Yi nationality except the minority Han nationality. There are 5 villages, 13 groups, 5733 mu of land to be converted to forest; crops are produced once a year, mainly buckwheat, potato, oats. The climate in the area is very beneficial to the cultivation of Chinese medicinal materials (rhubarb, Gentiana, etc.). Through the joint efforts of the whole Township, adjusting the industrial structure and reasonably transferring the surplus labor force to go out to work, the average income of farmers in 2007 reached 1642 yuan, an increase of 168 yuan over the previous year.
Shenguo township has 5438 mu of cultivated land. Grass slope land is 53890 mu, forest land is 49900 mu, and the forest coverage rate is 21.3%. The total grain output is 1130 tons, the per capita grain is 458 kg, and the income from agriculture and animal husbandry is 1.5375 million yuan.

The highest altitude of Shenguo township is 3260 meters, the lowest is 2400 meters, and the relative height difference is 860 meters. The annual rainfall is 1349 mm, the frost free period is 160 days, and the annual average temperature is 7.2 ℃. The main food crops are potatoes, buckwheat and oats. Due to the influence of geographical and climatic conditions, the output is extremely unstable, nine disasters in ten years. The main livestock are sheep, pigs and cattle.
Shenguo Township, in line with the spirit of connecting with reality and keeping pace with the times, has formulated new development ideas. Driven by the regional strategy of "prospering the district by forestry, strengthening the district by animal husbandry, and enriching the district by medicinal materials", Shenguozhuang district has made great achievements in the following aspects. In 2002, the township converted 5730 mu of farmland to forest, planted 100 mu of medicinal materials in Dabu and Hemu, and planted 2000 mu of forages, such as "Guangye zihuatiao" and "white clover". The economic strength increased significantly. At present, there are 12 micro power stations with an installed capacity of 21 kW in the township, which have solved the problems of lighting for 241 households and power supply for 2 ground receiving stations. Due to the lack of electricity, the average household power consumption is less than 100 watts, which can only solve the lighting problem of a small number of people. More than 300 and 1500 people still live under torches and kerosene lamps. Transportation is difficult. Only three villages have access roads.
