Jizhi township is under the jurisdiction of Butuo County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Jizhi township was established in 1956, changed to Jizhi commune in 1973, and restored to Jizhi Township in 1984.
On January 12, 2021, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Liangshan Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of Puge county and other seven counties (cfgm [2021] No. 1): the Lianbu township was abolished, and the administrative areas of Lianbu village and Tedian village of the former Lianbu Township were put under the jurisdiction of Jizhi Township, and the people's Government of Jizhi township was stationed at No. 29, group 2, Jizhi village.

General situation of villages and towns
Jizhi township is located in the northeast of the county, 53 kilometers away from the county. From north to south, it is adjacent to Lianbu Township, Wadu Township, Huolie Township and Diluo Township in turn. To the East, it is opposite to yakebuxi township of Zhaojue County across Xixi River. The highest altitude of Haibo is more than 3600 meters, and the lowest altitude of Haibo is 1800 meters, which is a vertical three-dimensional climate. The rural area is 45.5 square kilometers with a population of 5000. Rural roads lead to rural areas. It governs 5 village committees and 32 villager groups in Laogu, erbu, Heixi, duomu and Jizhi.
Low altitude areas are suitable for planting walnut, Zanthoxylum bungeanum, orange, peanut and other economic crops. The planting scale of traditional Chinese medicine (Aconitum carmichaeli) in high altitude areas is expanding year by year. The main food crops are corn, potato, buckwheat, oat, highland barley, rice and so on.
