Luji town

Luji town is a town under the jurisdiction of Huidong County, Sichuan Province. Established in August 2015. Located in the east of the county, across the Jinsha River and Yunnan Province, 125 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 128.03 square kilometers and has a population of 17547 (2017). Hua (tan) Gan (Yanjing) highway passes through. There is a ferry crossing the Jinsha River to Qiaojia county, Yunnan Province. It has jurisdiction over 14 village committees, including Luji, Pojiao, Reshui, Luna, Zhongcun, Xiaotian, Majiashan, Meimao, Daqing, yaolu, Yaopeng, Qingjie, Huoshan and Tuotuo. It is located on the platform of the Jinsha River Valley and has a subtropical climate. Agriculture to sugarcane, corn, rice, wheat, tobacco, peanuts, Panzhihua, pomegranate, pear, watermelon based. It produces brown sugar. There are phosphate deposits and hot springs in the territory.

On June 12, 2020, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Liangshan Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Yanyuan County and other five counties (cfzm [2020] No. 7): the administrative area of Xiduo village in Liugu township was put under the jurisdiction of Luji Town, and the people's Government of Luji town was stationed at No. 79 Luji street, Luji village.

Evolution of organizational system

In August 2015, according to the spirit of "Sichuan Provincial People's government's reply on approving Huidong County to adjust some township administrative divisions" (cfzm [2014] No. 15 and cfzm [2015] No. 5), Huidong County carried out a new round of township administrative division adjustment based on the principle of "coordinating urban and rural reform, improving administrative efficiency and reducing administrative cost". In the official reply, Luji Township and Wenqing Township were abolished, and Luji town was established, with jurisdiction over the administrative areas of the former Luji Township and Wenqing Township, and the town people's Government stationed in Luji village.

In 2020, the administrative region of Xiduo village in Liugu township will be under the jurisdiction of Luji Town, and the people's Government of Luji town will be stationed at No. 79, Luji street, Luji village.
