Wujiao Mongolian Village

Wujiao Mongolian township is located in the southern edge of the county. In 2006, it has jurisdiction over two administrative villages and 12 villager groups, inhabiting five ethnic groups, including Mongolian, Yi, Tibetan, Han and Naxi, with a total of 415 households and 2237 people, with an altitude of 2850 meters. "Wujiao" is a Mongolian phonetic translation, which means "a place with cattle". In Tibetan, it is called "renjiang", which means "surrounded by mountains on all sides, with lawns in the middle and many wild animals". In November 1984, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved the establishment of Wujiao Mongolian township. In 2006, there was one central school, four village primary schools, 14 teaching classes, 23 teaching staff and 297 students in the township. The enrollment rate was 87% and the consolidation rate was 100%. The literacy rate of young adults was 97.8%. There is one Township Central Hospital, four doctors, one village doctor and one village medical station. The natural population growth rate of the township was 12 ‰, and there were no extra planned births or multiple births. 49 families were given family planning rewards and assistance, and 147000 yuan was cashed in.
