On December 23, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Ganzi Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in six counties (cities), including Kangding city (cfzm [2019] No. 25): banmenmen township was abolished and banmenmen town was established. The former administrative region of banmenmen township was the Administrative Region of banmenmen Town, and the people's Government of banmenmen town was stationed at No. 41, group 1, banmenmen village.

On December 23, 2019, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, it is agreed to cancel banmenmen Township and establish banmenmen town. The administrative region of banmenmen township is the administrative region of banmenmen Town, and the people's Government of banmenmen town is located at No. 41, group 1, village 1, banmenmen.
