Qianyu Township

Qianyu township is located in the northwest of Hanyuan County, on the right bank of the middle reaches of Liusha River, at the confluence of Houhe River and Liusha river. It is adjacent to Fuzhuang town in the west, Houyu Township in the south, Jiuxiang town in the East, and Datian Township across Liusha River in the North. The terrain is high in the South and low in the north, with shanpan River as the center. It has jurisdiction over Qianyu community, 5 villages including Baihe, Quanhe, Yongkang, jinyinping and Qianfeng, and 38 villager groups.

Historical evolution

In the early Qing Dynasty, it was a rural area of Houyu, and in the Republic of China, it was a rural area of Tianyu. Houyu township was established in 1951, and has been established since 1961.
