Shitie township is under the jurisdiction of Xuanhan County, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. It was established in the 27th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. Shitie township was established in 1936, changed to Shitie commune in 1958, and restored to Shitie Township in 1984.
Shitie township is located in the upper reaches of the Zhonghe River, the northernmost end of Xuanhan County, bordering Gujun township of Wanyuan City, known as the "north gate of Xuanhan county". The township covers a total area of 77.98 square kilometers, 97 kilometers away from the county seat, with an average altitude of 854 meters. It now governs 6 administrative villages, 1 community, 33 villager groups, with a total of 7286 people (2017).
Shitiexiang township enterprises have grain and oil processing, tea and other factories. Agricultural production of rice, wheat, corn, potato, tung oil. Breeding goats, pigs and cattle.
