Baijie town

Baijie town is located in the south of Dachuan District, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, 22 kilometers away from the downtown area of Dazhou. Historical sources

Baijie town was first built in the late Ming Dynasty (1614) in Chongzhen, named jinbaochang. It is now in group 2 of Guanyinqiao. It was moved to maliuwan in 1733, named Banbianjie. In 1742, Banbianjie was destroyed by flood. In 1744, Yuyu palace, Wenchang palace, Wanshou Palace, Guanyin temple, etc. were built by the immigrants from the two lakes in Shuitou (now the old street area) to form a market. Because there are 100 beaches from Zhouhe River to Baijietan Shuitou, it is named Baijietan. At the beginning of the Republic of China, only one regiment defense Bureau was set up.
