Maoping town

Maoping town is under the jurisdiction of Ebian Yi Autonomous County, Leshan City, Sichuan Province. In 1951, MaoWan township was withdrawn and lianle township was established. In 1957, it was renamed Maoping township. In 1958, it was changed into a commune. In 1984, it was changed into a township. In 1992, it was established as a town. Located in the northeast of the county, 25 kilometers away from the county government. It covers an area of 76.94 square kilometers.

As of 2016, Maoping town has 11 village committees, including center, Jianhua, bisection, upstream, chayun, changti, Gaoshan, Fanshan, Lingfeng, Laoya and Hengxin.
