Hesheng township is located in the east of Wuyuan County, where the township government is located. The township has 7 village committees, 39 villager groups and 8911 people (2017), covering an area of 134.14 square kilometers and 183000 mu of arable land. The territory is flat and fertile. Yihe canal and Tongji canal run through the whole township.
