Baitabu Town, a key town in Jiangsu Province, is located in the east of the central part of Donghai County, with an area of 103.29 square kilometers (2017), a cultivated area of 91000 Mu and a permanent resident population of 61030 (2017). The town is 17 km away from the county seat in the west, 20 km away from Lianyungang City in the East, bordering gangbu farm, Tuofeng Township in the west, pingming town in the South and Huangchuan town in the north. Introduction to history

Baitabu was established as early as the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was once known as Shifeng city in the early Republic of China. After 1943, there were Xinmin District, Xinhai District, five District, four district, two district and baitabu district. Baitabu township was established in 1957, baitabu people's commune was established in 1958, baitabu township was restored in 1983, and baitabu town was established in 1985. The northern part of baitabu is hilly land, and the southern part is lake depression, with an altitude of about 5-20 meters.

The industry of the whole town has initially formed characteristic pillar industries such as silicon product processing, machinery manufacturing, biological fertilizer, cement building materials, etc. Lianyungang Hengjiu quartz products Co., Ltd., Zhonglian Julong (Lianyungang) Co., Ltd. and other enterprises have settled in the town. Rich in mineral resources, mainly: crystal, quartz, mica, vermiculite, garnet and so on. Natural crystals are widely distributed and have large reserves.
