Fuxi town

Fuxi township is located on the southwest Bank of Dadu River, 12.5km away from Shawan city. The township covers an area of 32.47 square kilometers, and Chengdu Kunming railway and provincial highway 103 pass through the territory. It has jurisdiction over eight administrative villages, including Fumin, Shuangshan, Yongli, Fuxi, Huzhu, Zhaizi, Hongyan and Yumin, 52 villager groups and one community neighborhood committee. The total population is 4343 (2017).

On March 25, 2019, Fuxi township was awarded "the third batch of provincial forest towns in Sichuan Province".

On December 13, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's government adjusted the administrative divisions of some townships in Leshan City, abolished Fuxi Township and established Fuxi town. The administrative area of Fuxi town is the former Fuxi Township and the former Gongzui community, Jinniu village, Wanping village, Changjiang village, Yanggang village and Liugou village of Gongzui town. The people's Government of Fuxi town is located at No. 37 Fuxing Road.

natural condition

The landform in the territory is mainly mountainous, with the lowest elevation of 397 meters and the highest elevation of 1813 meters. It is rich in mineral resources such as hydromica clay, limestone and gypsum. The township has 2760 mu of cultivated land, including 854 mu of paddy field, 1906 mu of dry land, and 0.51 mu of cultivated land per farmer.

The township village highway mileage is 48.5 km, and the total length of railway is 10.4 km. Every village has access to roads and radio. Most of the villages have been drinking tap water, and a water plant has been built, which can be used by 600 households in government, school, community, Yongli village, Fuxi village and Zhaizi village. The community and Fuxi, Zhaizi and Yongli villages have realized cable TV, and the TV coverage rate of the whole township is 100%. Telecom and China Mobile have set up communication base stations in Fumin Village and Shuangshan village respectively, with smooth communication. There is a gas station in the township.

There are two schools in the township, a private kindergarten, which are Fuxi school, Fumin Village Primary School and Fuxi Jiaxin kindergarten. There is one health center and five village level medical and health centers, which is very convenient for the masses to see a doctor. There is a nursing home that can accommodate 30 people.

Zhaizishan site: located in Zhaizi village, Fuxi Township, it is known as "the first village of san'e". It was built in Xianfeng Period of Qing Dynasty and was listed as a district level cultural relic preservation unit in September 2006. Mishi bridge: also known as Shuangfeng bridge, Gushi bridge and Jianjiao bridge, it is located on the Bank of Dadu River in xiachang of Fuxikou. It was built in 1764, the 29th year of Qianlong reign of Emperor Gaozong of Qing Dynasty. The bridge is 25 meters long and 6 meters wide. It was listed as a district level cultural relic protection unit on June 18, 1990. Zuniang Hall (also known as Qixiang Temple): it was built in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty and became a Sihe Courtyard in the first year of Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty (1735 AD). Now it is the activity room of the elderly association in Fumin Village. Xu Wenke Memorial Tower: located at the platform of Fuxi railway station, group 4, Zhaizi village, Xu Wenke memorial tower was built by 8817 troops of the Chinese people's Liberation Army in December 1966, covering an area of 100 square meters and 10 meters high.

Key enterprises and products

Fuxi gypsum mine: Fuxi gypsum mine is the largest private enterprise in the township, located in group 4, Fuxi village, Fuxi township. Founded in June 1996, it mainly produces and processes gypsum powder and clay powder. Fangcheng chemical plant: located in Fumin Village Group 3 and Huzhu village group 2 of Fuxi township. It was founded in April 1982. In the early stage, it mainly produced, processed and mined white mud ore. At present, the scale is expanded, with superphosphate and soluble flushing fertilizer as the main products.
